Roofing Contractors in San Marino
On a San Marino period-revival house the leak is usually at a valley or a flashing, where the oaks keep the debris piled up, and on the tile roofs it is the felt underneath. We trace the source and write up the repair price, at no charge.

San Marino is two-story period-revival houses on large lots, under roofs full of dormers, hips and long valleys, and that shape decides where the water gets in. Tell us what you are seeing and we will send our licensed roofer out to look.

What San Marino houses do to a roofing job
The city incorporated in 1913 and was subdivided through the 1920s and 1930s around Huntington Drive and the Huntington grounds, Lacy Park at the center, Wilson Lake until the city bought the land in 1925. Building ran east through the 1940s and 1950s, then the city was full. That leaves two-story period-revival houses on large lots: dormers, hips, turrets, gable meeting gable, slate on the grander Old Mill Road houses. Valleys and flashings, not shingle fields, fail first here, and the oaks that gave Oak Grove Avenue its name keep them loaded with debris. Most covering was replaced once, much of it in the 1990s, and a thirty-year shingle laid in 1994 is finished.
Most work here is tile lift and relay: tiles off, underlayment stripped, new down, same tiles back. Shingle replacement belongs to the ranch and Minimal Traditional houses east of the center. See the roof repair and roof replacement pages.
