This page says what happens to your details when you use this website. It describes what the site actually does today, not what a template says it might do. If something here stops being true, this page changes.
What you tell us
The quote form asks for your phone number, your ZIP code and what is happening with the roof, and it will not send without them. Everything else on it is optional: your name, your email address, a description in your own words, your street address, and a few short questions about the job.
The description box is worth a note of its own. It is the one field the contractor never sees. It comes to us, and it stays with us.
What we record without asking
- Your IP address.Stored on your request as evidence of when and where you agreed to be contacted. It is not used to track you around the site. The server's own log is a separate thing, described below.
- The page you were on when you sent the form.Not where you went before or after it: nothing here follows you from page to page.
- The site that sent you here, if you arrived from a link somewhere else. If you came from another page on this site, nothing is recorded.
- Advertising click identifiersfrom Google and Facebook, and campaign tags, if your visit began with an advert. These tell us which advert worked. They are not in the address bar unless an advert put them there.
- How long the form took to fill in, and whether a hidden field was completed. Both are anti-spam checks. Real people take longer than robots and leave the hidden field alone.
- The time you sent it.
Separately from all of that, the web server keeps an ordinary access log, as almost every web server does. For each request it records the address you came from, the time, the page, the page that referred you and the identification string your browser sends. It is used for security and for working out what broke. It is deleted after fourteen days.
The site does not fingerprint your device, does not build a profile of you, and sets nothing in your browser that would let it recognise you on a later visit.
Who sees it
Your request goes to one licensed roofing contractor, and it goes in two stages.
Before they take the job, a contractor is offered the work and sees your first name, the town, the ZIP code, the kind of job, roughly what it is worth and your answers to the short questions. No phone number. No email address. No street address.
Once they take it, they get your name, phone number, email address and street address, because they cannot come and look at the roof otherwise.
They never see the description you typed, at either stage.
Nobody else is sent your details. We do not sell them, we do not rent them, and we do not pass them to a second contractor to bid against the first.
Companies that handle it on our behalf
Your details sit in a database on a server we rent in the United States. Nothing about you is sent to any other company today.
When text messaging goes live, the messages we send you will pass through a messaging provider, which is normal for any business that texts. This page will name them before that starts.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to ask you about.
Two small things are stored in your browser:
- If the form fails to send, what you typed is held for two minutes so the page can fill itself back in and you do not have to type it again. It is deleted as soon as the form goes through, or after two minutes, whichever comes first.
- A note that you have already been shown the discount offer, so you are not shown it twice in one visit. It disappears when you close the tab.
How long we keep it
Indefinitely, unless you ask us to delete it. A quote request can turn into a job months later, and a dispute about a job can arrive later still, so we do not delete records on a timer. Backup copies of the database are kept for thirty days.
Asking for a copy, a correction, or deletion
Call (310) 857-2520 or use the contact page, and say which you want.
- A copy.We will send you everything we hold about you.
- A correction.We will fix anything wrong, with one exception: the record of what you agreed to and when cannot be edited by anyone, including us. That is deliberate, because a consent record that can be altered afterwards is not evidence of anything.
- Deletion.We will delete your record. If a contractor already has your details because they took the job, ask them as well: at that point they hold their own copy and they are responsible for it.
We do not charge for any of this and we do not need a reason.
Stopping texts and calls
Reply STOP to any text and the texts stop, immediately and permanently, without you having to speak to anyone. To stop calls as well, tell us on the phone or through the contact page.
The form asks you to agree before it will send, so that we can pass your details to the contractor who will come and look at the roof. If you would rather not agree to that, call (310) 857-2520 instead and we will take it down over the phone.
Children
This site is for homeowners arranging work on a building. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection. The database is not reachable from the internet. Access to it is limited to the people who run this business and the contractor assigned to your job.
No system is perfect and it would be dishonest to say otherwise. If something ever goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Changes to this page
When what we do changes, this page changes with it, and the date below moves. It was last rewritten on 4 September 2026.
