Tell us what’s going on with your roof and we’ll match you with a licensed, insured roofing contractor who works in your part of Los Angeles County. They’ll come out, look at the roof properly, and give you a written quote. It’s free, and there’s nothing to sign at the end of it.
The form takes a minute. A rough description is plenty. You don’t need to know what’s wrong, or what the roof is made of, or what any of it is called.
What happens after you send it
- We read what you’ve sent and match it to one contractor who does that kind of work in your area. Tile is not the same trade as flat roofing, and a small repair isn’t the same job as a full replacement.
- We send you their name and their CSLB licence number, so you know who’s calling before they call.
- They get in touch to arrange a time, come out, and look at the roof.
- You get a written quote. Then you decide, in your own time.
Questions people ask before they send the form
Is it actually free?
Yes. The inspection and the written quote cost you nothing, and there’s no fee to us at any point. Roofing contractors pay to be matched with homeowners in their area, which is how this site pays for itself.
Who gets my details?
One contractor. The one we match you with, and nobody else. We don’t sell your details to a list, we don’t pass them to a call centre, and we don’t hand them round to several companies to fight over. That last part matters: this isn’t a site where you fill in one form and then five roofers ring you for a fortnight. It’s one roofer, matched to your job.
How quickly will someone call?
Usually the same day if you send the form during the week, and the next working day otherwise. Booking the visit itself depends on their diary and yours. In the rain season, roughly October through March, everyone’s busier, so if water is coming in right now, say so in the form.
Do I have to go ahead with the work?
No. Getting a quote commits you to nothing at all. Plenty of people get one to find out roughly what they’re facing, then sit on it for a season, or get the roof checked before buying a house, or sanity-check a quote they’ve already been given. That’s all fine.
What if I don’t get on with the contractor?
Tell us and we’ll match you with someone else, at no cost. You don’t need a reason, and you don’t need to have a row about it. Sometimes it’s price, sometimes it’s a scheduling clash, sometimes it’s just that you didn’t take to them. Any of those is enough.
How do I check they’re really licensed?
You’ll have their CSLB licence number from us before the visit. Put it into the licence check on the Contractors State License Board website and you’ll see the licence status, the classification, whether it’s current, and whether their workers’ compensation and bond are on file. We check the same things before anyone gets your details, but you should never have to take our word for it.
What if I don’t know what’s wrong?
Most people don’t, and that’s the contractor’s job. “There’s a stain on the bedroom ceiling” or “the tiles look wrong from the street” is a perfectly good description. They’ll work out the rest once they’re up there.
Do you cover my area?
We match across Los Angeles County, from the San Fernando Valley and the foothill cities down through central LA, the Westside, the South Bay and the Gateway Cities. Put your address or ZIP in the form and we’ll tell you straight away if we don’t have someone good near you.
One last thing
LA Roof Experts isn’t a roofing company and doesn’t do roofing work. We match you with an independent contractor who’s licensed to do it, and the work, the quote and any guarantee on it are theirs.
